Two Lancer Football Players Commit to USC
QB Aaron Corp and OT/DE Michael Reardon will join the Trojans in 2007
Lutheran High seniors Aaron Corp and Michael Reardon have committed to play college football for the University of Southern California. The two Lancers fielded offers from several top schools but ultimately decided on USC, arguably the best college football program over the last few years.
One of Orange Lutheran’s biggest players at 6’6” and 245 pounds, Reardon plays both offensive tackle and defensive end. Last year, he topped the Lancer tackle chart with 41 solo tackles, 48 assists, 6.5 sacks, and 11 pressure passers.
Aaron Corp, in his second season as starting quarterback, passed for 22 touchdowns over 1,634 yards. He was the team’s leading rusher as well, running for 633 yards and scoring 8 touchdowns. Aaron Corp recently won the Golden Gun Accuracy Challenge at the EA Sports Elite 11 tournament, an annual gathering of the nation’s finest high school football players.
Orange Lutheran’s 2006 season begins September 1 against Dana Hills. Last year the Lancers, 9-2 overall, were Empire League co-champions. This season will be their first in the new Trinity League, where they join local powerhouses Mater Dei, Servite, Santa Margarita, and St. John Bosco.
